UWB Tracking with Zactrack – Precise Real-Time Positioning
Zactrack uses Ultra-Wideband (UWB) technology to deliver precise tracking in real-time. Small transmitters (“tags”) are attached to performers or objects and send continuous signals to fixed receivers (“anchors”). The system operates similarly to GPS but uses UWB frequencies (approx. 3.5–7 GHz), optimized for indoor environments.
Real-Time Calculation Based on Signal Travel Time
Zactrack calculates the exact position of each tag in real-time by measuring the time a signal travels between transmitters and receivers—resulting in high spatial accuracy and minimal latency.
Seamless Integration with Show Infrastructure
The tracking data can be integrated directly into lighting, audio, video, or camera control systems. This enables automated, dynamic interactions such as pinpoint movement of lights, precise audio localization of performers, or motion-synchronized video content.
Scalable and Efficient in Practice
Zactrack is highly scalable. We’ve successfully used it to track up to 40 targets and control several hundred moving lights simultaneously. Once programmed, a single technician can independently operate the system—ideal for touring setups, even with 80 moving lights and 30 targets.
